“Duchesse de Bourgogne” is an ale of mixed fermentation. It is a sweet-fruity ale with a pleasant fresh aftertaste. This ale is brewed with roasted malts and with hops with a low bitterness. After the main fermentation and the lagering , the “Duchesse de Bourgogne” matures further for many months in oak casks. The tannins in the oak give the “Duchesse de Bourgogne” its fruity character. “Duchesse de Bourgogne” has a full, sweet and fresh taste : it is a ruby red jewel of 6.2 % alc. vol., that best is served in a chalice-shaped glass between 8 and 12C. A perfect beer .
The Paulaner Hefe-Weizen natural cloudy beer is our brewerys best-selling product. Specifically cultivated, top-fermented yeast give it its unmistakable character: sparklingly mild and fruity with a delicate yeast flavour. The eye is immediately drawn to its gleaming orange colour, its uniform cloudiness and the large head. The unfiltered brewing method allows it to retain its natural authenticity along with the many vitamins, minerals and trace elements.
A golden, bottom-fermented, typical Bavarian speciality beer for the Oktoberfest, fermented to medium strength, with a malty and very mildly bitter taste. | A Bavarian sausage salad and all the delicacies to satisfy even a true Bavarian: Hendl, Wurstl or a pig roasted in Wiesn beer on a spit.
The St.Bernardus Abt 12 is the pride of our stable, the nec plus ultra of our brewery. Abbey ale brewed in the classic ‘Quadrupel’ style of Belgium’s best Abbey Ales. Dark with a full, ivory-colored head. It has a fruity aroma, full of complex flavours and excells because of its long bittersweet finish with a hoppy bite. (10,0% ABV) Worldwide seen as one of the best beers in the world. It’s a very balanced beer, with a full-bodied taste and a perfect equilibrium between malty, bitter and sweet. One of the original recipes from the days of license-brewing for the Trappist monks of Westvleteren (see history)
Thanks to only the best ingredients this dark refreshes like a true lager beer. It has a rich smooth taste and a lingering slightly sweet aftertaste. The delicate aroma and extraordinary coloration result from a careful barley malt roasting process. Our company only purchases and processes quality hops that meet our strict quality requirements. The special combination of bitter and aroma hops is unique and is a key component of the well balanced, mild-hoppy WARSTEINER Dunkel. The roasted malt for our beer is manufactured from top-quality brewing barley cultivated from well-known German producing regions and from Champagne, which enjoy optimal climatic and soil conditions. The dark, amber color of WARSTEINER Dunkel beer is obtained thanks to none other than the finest ingredients and an especially gentle, careful brewing process.Another top-quality attribute is the original and especially soft brewing water. This is obtained from the Kaiserquelle, among other sources.Albert Cramer Senior discovered the Kaiserquelle (‘Kaiser’s Spring’) at the edge of the Arnsberg Forest, close to the Waldpark brewery of today. With a water hardness of only one to two degrees, the water is especially suitable for brewing beer and contributes to the beer’s wholesomeness. The Kaiserquelle’s soft water, which still to this day feeds the Warsteiner Brewery’s water tanks, was crucial for the huge success of Warsteiner Pilsener, which was brewed from 1927 following the registration of water rights.
